#25 The Healthy Snowman

#25 The Healthy Snowman

I have made a snowman earlier using idli’s. However, this time my snowman is healthiest of all. Wanna know why ? Simply because this time the snowman is made of broken whear/ dalia.

I personally feel kids tend to reject healthy nutritious food bcaz of lack of taste and to get them motivated is to make it attractive to their eyes. And with that thought i have given the daliya/ broken wheat a twist my plating it as a snowman and topping it with some fresh fruits.

So all moms out there, this christmas turn healthy with this version of snowman.

How to make Dryfruit Banana Smoothie

How to make Dryfruit Banana Smoothie

Smoothies are said to be a perfect drink offering taste & nutrition together not only for adults but also for kids. It is a great way to get a nourishing breakfast in the morning – You can gulp it down in a jiffy or pack it in an insulated cup while you drive your kid to school. They also make a great evening snack to serve the hunger pangs that knocks on your tummy. And when you make a Dryfruit Banana smoothie, it is not only tasty to your tongue but offers complete source of nutrition.

In my recipe of Dryfruit Banana Smoothie , I have added dates to give the extra  punk so that your mornings are full of energy and the combination of dry fruits & banana just ensures correct amount of sweetness needed in the recipe. The other ingredients that I have used is almonds and pistachios, Incase you are looking for more creamier consistency, one can also add cashew nuts around 4-5 quantity and make it more whiter and creamy.

Living in the city of Mumbai, I am very much used to having Cow milk. However if you looking for vegan options, you can replace normal Cow milk to Coconut Milk or Soy Milk. In my personal experience adjust the quantity of dates for Coconut milk as the milk has it own sweet properties.

Also, if you want your smoothie to be more healthy, you can replace milk altogether and make use of Greek Yogurt or have a combination of Skimmed Milk-Greek Yogurt. In my opinion the latter option is more convenient to churn the entire mixture and has an equal balance of thickness and liquid component making it easy to gulp down the smoothie throat.

In this Dryfruit Banana Recipe, I have used frozen bananas so that the smoothies become extra thick and luxurious. In case of frozen banana, the smoothie is well made in a food processor instead of the blender. In case you are not comfortable, choose normal bananas and just blend it in the mixture grinder.

So let’s get started and learn How to Make Dryfruit Banana Smoothie and make your morning’s energetic and powerful
