7 Food Art Ideas that Kids will love

7 Food Art Ideas that Kids will love

In todays era, where pizza, pasta, burger are easily available..kids do not want to indulge or rather dont like eating our desi food.

Forget them, we too sulk in the pool of desserts and have those cheat days. But we wan’t our kids to adopt good and healthy eating habits. And when they don’t we term them as fussy eaters.

Having said that, i am sharing these 7 Food Art Ideas that Kids will love so that we as parents can ensure to develop good and healthy eating habits in our children, at the same time keep them excited and happy.

7 FOOD ART IDEAS THAT  KIDS WILL LOVE

1. DOSA – SWANS ON THE PLATE

Out of the seven, this is one of the best food art ideas that kids will love.  Inspired from Kiaan’s favourite story book “The Ugly Duckling”, I have created this food art.

All you need is Dosa Batter and squeeze bottle. Pour the dosa batter into the squeeze bottle and lock it well. Once the tawa is hot,  pour the batter in the shape of the duck. Once cooked just trim it with scissors and place it on the plate.

Well i have used Carrots and Makhana ( Lotus seeds ) to make fishes and corals, you can make use  of any veggie of your choice and the swan foodart is ready

Hi friends.. As promised, here is my swan foodart ready for all of you. .. Initially i wanted to show two birds in love but i lost my heart shaped cookie cutter and created this simple foodart for your little ones .. Well this is made of 🍽 dosa batter 🍽 topped with multigrain puffs, carrot and mint leaves .. Well the most important question i get is how do i make these shapes.. Well sharing with u a small TIP, i make use of any squeeze bottle (like ketchup bottle), add in the batter and directly make the shape on the tawa. .. And the main dish is ready without investing much of my time. All u need to do is accessorise it the way i have done above. .. If you enjoyed this #dosaart the let me know it in the comments below.. #foodartforkids #foodcraft #foodpresentation #foodstyling #kidsworld #mommydiaries #bloggermama #mamablogger #mamablog #mamablogger #bloggermum #mommyblog #mommyblogger #momblog #bloggermom #momswhoblog #blogonmama #eatmuncehies #thefeedfeed #sgfood #lovefood #morningbreakfast #eattheworld #bestfoodworld #delicious #yahoofood #yummy #toddlerlife

2. FRUITS – THE OWL in LOVE

Kids refrain from eating fruits these days. I don’t blame them since there are a lot of distractions in form of biscuits, chips etc. However we can act a little smarter by creating a tempting foodart.

I have made two owl using fruits like pineapple, apple and strawberries. To add a little more flavour i have used cheese and cadbury balls to make the eyes of the owl

3. NUTELLA – CAR

Who does not love nutella. We too love the flavour. So i have made a combination snack for my child using multigrain bread, nutella and apple. The idea is to strike the right balance and viola my kid did finished the plate.

View this post on Instagram

Its been a crazy week for me as kiaans bday celebrations felt a never ending affair… At the same time kiaan got many cars this bday as gift from relatives, friends, in-laws.. .. Well since cars is what kept my attention i tried to make a car foodart using some yummy chocolaty ingredients with fruity flavours. .. This foodart is made of ✨multugrain bread ✨@nutellaindia Spread ✨ apple .. You can also try this with peanut butter but since i used multigrain it did not look that great. .. Also i have not introduced kiaan to nutella..neither i allowed him to eat the bread.. It was more of a fascinating way to offer fruit for me.. And guess what he ate the apple enjoying every bit of it and with no fuss. .. You can try out such tactics too and let me know whether it worked or not. @momspresso @tlc_india @foodfoodtv @kidsstoppress @nutella @flavoursoffun .. #foodart #foodcraft #foodartforkids #motherhoodunplugged #momsofig #momsofinsta #kidsfoodideas #buzzfeed #nutella #yummyinmytummy #eeeeeats #buzzfeedfood #indianfoodblogger #indianmomblogger #flatlay #flatstyle #theuncommonbox #momitforward #storytellingmama #acupofmotherhood #kidsfood #midweekclickin #likzmarch

4. WATERMELON – CABLE CAR TO SWISS

Beating the summer heat is possible if we hydrate ourselves well with juices, fruits, yogurt, buttermilk. My 2 year old never preferred watermelon and getting him to eat one was a huge task. This foodart aroused a lot of curiosity in him as i had showed him what cable car was, he got super excited and ate it all.

For all mommas out there who have kids who do not like watermelon here is a simple foodart for them. .. Kiaan saw a cable car image in one of the magazine and asked me what it is. Well i took it as an opportunity to feed him watermelons instead. .. Well the end result of how much he had, you will see in my stories but for me every bite counts. .. So to make the foodart you would need 🍉 Round shape cookie cutter to cut the watermelons as shown in the picture 🍉 little cheese 🍉 multigrain bread 🍉 chocolate sauce or @nutellaindia 🍉 sugar powder .. All you need to do is 🍉 Take the watermelon and cut in the desired shape and place them on the plate 🍉 Add cheese as shown in the picture 🍉Take a bread and cut it in triangle shape. Spread the chocolate sauce and sprinkle sugar to give a now effect 🍉Foodart is ready to be served. .. This foodart is needs proper placement of the ingredients and can be done within 15 mins. .. I hope you enjoyed this. 6. TOMATO RICE – YOGA POSE

For Kiaan rice means plain white steamed rice, If i make pulao or biryani or even just add turmeric, he will refuse to eat it. This makes me loose my sanity .

So on the international yoga day, i tired to keep calm and make this girl practising yoga made from tomato pulav  and adding his favorite jaggery biscuits by early foods . Kiaan did not eat the whole plate but manged to eat couple of morsels.

HAPY INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY!!! .. Let me confess today. I hated yoga for years .. I never found any purpose in doing it until last dec i made a choice to pursue yoga for mental health as motherhood was overwhelming.. And since then i have started loving it.. .. So today, when kiaan came home from school he told me he did yoga in the school,i became super excited about it.. Until now i had never spoken about yoga to him so i thought to have a fun session of yoga with him on our dinner table .. So as usual i keep telling him to eat healthy like sabzi, roti, dal and rice and for the first time he ate tomato pulav without a fuss .. Ps Foodart is made of ✨Tomato pulav ✨ @earlyfoods jaggery biscuits .. #foodcraft #eeeeeats #yummyinmytummy #buzzfeed #buzzfeedfood #parentinghack #internationalyogaday2019 #internationalyogaday #foodartforkids #foodart #indianinstagramers #momblogger #flatlay #flatstyle #picoftheday #foodoftheday #parentinglife #creativeflatlays #creative #kidsblogger
