#17 The Crocodile Pulao

Do you have to distract your kids with a TV, Mobile phone, Story books etc , so that they just EAT some food you have cooked for them. Time to break this disturbing habit for once and for all. Wondering How? Well Momma just wear your creative chef hat and do make a story on your plate just the way i did mine.

MY STORY : THE CROCODILE PULAO

The Plate consists of

  • Pea Pulao with a dash of Cheese
  • Salad – Tomato & Cucumber
  • Roti
  • Little Sprinkles of Dark Chocolate Biscuit
  • And a beautiful story session on the crocodile

PEA PULAO RECIPE ( DESIGNED FOR TODDLERS )

INGREDIENTS

  • Ghee – 1 Tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds – 1/4 tsp
  • Jeera – 1/4 tsp
  • Onions – 1/4 cup
  • Cooked Rice – 1 cup
  • Boiled Peas – 1/2 cup
  • Salt ( for kids 1yr+ age)
  • Coriander for garnishing

METHOD

  • Crush the boiled peas in a mixture grinder & set aside
  • In a pan, add ghee, mustard seeds, jeera & onions. Saute it till onions are thoroughly cooked
  • Add the mashed peas and saute for 2 mins
  • Add cooked rice to the above mixture and Serve hot

NOTE

  • Depending upon the age of the toddler you can introduce spices like coriander, salt, sugar, garam masal, chillies etc
  • The above recipe is designed for toddler 8+ months of age
